- Supposedly Humans are the most intelligent of species and are supposed to be set aside from other animals especially by our perception and thinking. However when you really start thinking about it humans are the ONLY animal that kills for NO reason or just for fun. Even the most deadly of carnivores only attacks out of fear or hunger or when fighting for a mate among their own species. And when hunting for food they tend to go after the weakest and sickest prey first.. which in essence means they go after the animals who on their own would probably die a much worse death if NOT eaten. Also by primarily hunting sick animals predators prevent other animals of the prey's herd or family group from contracting the illness. So in a way their hunting is even a form of euthanasia in many instances, maybe not the most pleasant euthanasia but still better than waisting away in a slower MORE painful death. Animals ALSO will defend their loved ones.. and yeah yeah some people might try to say they think animals don't love.. but i highly doubt those people have seen animals stand firm in situations that they themselves were TERRIFIED of under normal situations because they sensed that someone else needed their protection.. (I've seen this with horses who are actually in nature PREY animals not predators). Animals also give unconditional love which is EXTREMELY uncommon with humans. OK so I'm sure A LOT of people who read that last sentence are trying to say that isn't true but think about it... if the person you loved suddenly had some major thing about them change? like f or instance they hurt their back and couldn't give you attention they way you like anymore? i had that happen recently with my two cats.. for a while i couldn't even pick them up or have either one lay on me if they weren't staying still and one normally does NOT stay still when wanting attention. animals stick through things like that and don't even pause in their affections. most people don't, most people if they stop getting the specific kind of attention they prefer will STOP caring or "fall out of love" with a person. my cats instead promptly adapted and figured out what i COULD handle, and have been helping me get through my injury on the emotional level. My cats have practically rejoiced now since I've started to regain some functionality and can pick them up again and stuff. In our society seeing PEOPLE who cope as well when someone has something happen is rare.
A place to throw around ideas and concepts. The title is latin for I write you will think. (though I'm sure the latin grammar is probably a bit mangled since I only took one year of latin and that was MANY years ago)
